SLC Ice Skating ❤

January 31, 2015

If there's one thing I love, it's ice skating. But ice skating outside? EVEN better.

We all ice skated around the Christmas lights while Christmas music was playing & I was in heaven.

I'm not a very good Ice Skater and I usually fall, haha but Nate beat me on this one. He fell so many times from being silly and skating fast. I was so proud that I hadn't fell yet and I was getting pretty cocky ;) As soon as I started getting cocky, Nate came up from behind me and took me OUT. Haha I was wet and cold from all the ice.

Double Date....& JAZZ Game :)

 January 5, 2015

It's a double date night for us & Greg!! Usually, when me and Nate go out on a date, Greg loves to come with and third wheel haha! But this time.. he found his special sweety Amy Leo, and decided to take her on the date with us :)

Now.. if you want to see something so cute, take a look at my brother Greg and how he treats his "girlfriend" Amy. He is nothing but an absolute SWEETHEART

The rose Greg got for Amy :)

As we sat and watched the game, Amy would lean over and sneak a kiss or two on Greg's cheek. Haha! The game was really fun, but nothing was as fun as being out with these two sweet hearts. We sat down to watch the game but ended up getting too distracted by Greg and Amy. These two are not only cute together, but so dang FUNNY!

I lucked out with my date ;)

These two cuties :)

During the game, Greg and Amy ended up being on the huge screen at the top of the building! Everyone was cheering but these two didn't even notice haha! They were too distracted with other things.

Greg was distracted by the game

&

Amy was distracted by the Jazz magazine.

In the middle of the game, Greg started cheering at one of the jazz dancers! Haha she ended up coming over and getting a picture with him :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

January 1, 2015

Alright everyone, it's finally a new year!! Everyone starts writing down their new years resolutions and working on a new list of things that they want to get better at ;) New Years for me is always so fun! I love spending time with my family and friends.

Let me tell you a little bit about my New Years..

My New Years was awesome! I wanted to spend some time with my cutie and get in that New Year's kiss ;) haha! After spending some time with my family I decided to go down to a party with my friends. Nate's friends decided to go down as well, as did seriously ALL of Davis High School. Haha we got to the party, and I knew so many faces! The party was lots of fun! Music, dancing, games, food and LOTS of people!

Well.. towards the end of the night,

When the countdown had started, I found Nate and we got together. It was SO incredibly crowded, me and Nate were practically glued together! I couldn't move and then all of a sudden right as "11....10...." starts going some guy says to me:

"UM.. your hair is stuck in my Jacket."

Ahh! haha what!! I definitely didn't mean to get my hair stuck in his jacket, but I couldn't help it. And he was so MAD. It was stuck pretty bad and I didn't think I was going to be able to get it out. I quickly looked at Nate with a panicked face and said,

"HELP!!"

He was laughing so hard which made me start laughing too. The only one who wasn't laughing was the man standing there with a beer in one hand, and his other hand on his coat zipper.

FINALLY, Nate got my hair out right as we were on "3....2...." And as soon as we hit 1, he placed a big fat kiss on me.

HAPPY NEW YEARS!!! And so HAPPY my hair was finally out of this mans coat zipper :/

I'm going to be honest, I did not think that I would get a New Year's kiss. I thought that I'd spend my last moments of 2014 getting my hair out of this mans zipper. So anytime I think of New Year's Eve, I think of my long hair getting stuck in some old mans coat zipper. Haha this was one for my memory jar for sure! ;)

Christmas Time and Temple Square :)

December 14, 2014

Alright so it's always a family tradition with my family to go see the Temple Square Christmas lights every year before Christmas. My brother Greg has been serving a mission down at Temple Square and each year around Christmas time he gets to help put up all of the Christmas lights! And he LOVES it!! It's really important to him that we go! He loves showing off what he's helped out with more than anything:) And this year he was even more excited because I brought Nate with me and my family!

Haha yikes..this is the first time that Nate is actually hanging out with my family. He's met them before but he's never spent a lot of time with them. I was really nervous to have him spend time with my whole family! And not only was it just my family...but my aunt, uncle, and cousins came too! Haha so he was getting to meet the whole family ;)

On our way down to the Temple, we were riding down with my family and all of a sudden Greg says, "OOOH NO IT'S THE FREE FART ZONE!!!" hahaha Nate was so confused and he started laughing but I knew he didn't know what Greg was talking about.

Okay.. so every time we pass through Salt Lake and it stinks, Greg likes to call it the "Free fart zone" haha! He's such a stinker. Nate thought that was hilarious and he was starting to warm up with my family :)

When we got there, Nate stepped out of the car and my Aunt looked him up and down and said: "You are sooo tall!" My Aunt and Uncle started asking Nate questions and I was soooo nervous. I didn't want them to scare him away!

There was nothing to be nervous about though, my family all loved him and they approved ;) My little cousin came up to me while we were walking through the lights, pulled me away and said, "Michelle...I approve." And my mom just kept saying the whole night "I love him. You better keep him around!" haha my family loved having him there!

Everyone was joking around the whole night (teasing me) and they kept making those little side comments... The side comments that me and Nate always get...

- "Wow he's SO tall!!"

- "Michelle how do you even kiss him??? You're too short!"

- "Did he have to bend down and kiss you for the first time??"

- "Nate did you know that she was this short when you asked her to the dance?"

- "Nate do you want Michelle to stand on the bench for your picture?"

Yeah my family LOVES to tease me haha and if you're ever going to ask us these questions, just know that you're not the only ones who have asked us these questions. We've only been dating for 3 Months and we get it almost on a daily bases ;) But what can I except? I'm 5'3 and he's 6'6 haha we are definitely asking for it ;)

I love this cute boy of mine

As we were walking around the Temple, Greg saw some sister missionaries who were singing some church Hymns. Greg went right on over and started singing LOUD with them haha! It was great! Everyone around us had the biggest smile ever and Nate just kept saying "He is so awesome!" "I love Greg!!" As I watched Nate walking with Greg and talking with him it just made me the happiest girl ever! It means the world to me when someone loves Greg as much as I do :) That was really special to me.

I don't know what it was about tonight, but when I was walking with Nate through the lights, I felt closer to him than I ever have before. Something about tonight made me fall so much more in love with him! And I was loving it.

Tonight we also ran into Santa Clause and Buddy the Elf!! Haha this was pretty funny. Greg saw Santa and he RAN (the fastest I've ever seen him run) over to Santa screaming: "SANTA!!!!" Haha he's so dang cute! This boy will always believe in Santa Clause. It makes our Christmas so much better :) <3

Greg saw Santa and Buddy the Elf!! Haha This made his night :)

Christmas Village!!!

December 23, 2015

Ever been?? You need to! This was the most beautiful place I have ever been and it's so dang cute too! Nate and I decided to go on a group date with some friends and I had heard that Christmas Village was a lot of fun so we decided to go there. If you know me, you know that I love ANYTHING Christmas! But especially the Christmas lights. When we pulled up to Christmas Village I was in "AHHH". Haha no joke, my mouth opened so wide and I just stared at all of the beautiful lights. I could tell from the moment that we got there that I was going to LOVE tonight!

Once again, there was no snow. We were all still waiting for the snow to come! But it was still COLD. It would have been 10 X more prettier if there was snow though.

Imagine all of these lights....but EVERYWHERE

We walked around each village house and looked inside all of the windows. Ahh everything was so CUTE!! There were so many people but I didn't even care because this place was magical to me haha! The whole night that we were there I felt like I was in a dream.

Here's a little example of one of the houses :)

The further we walked, the more excited me and Nate got. He turned to me in the middle of the lights and said, "It's pretty huh chelley?" Haha I was speechless because this was a whole lot better than I thought it was going to be.

The most beautiful thing I've ever seen

As we stood under this tree, I felt like the luckiest girl ever. I had so many things running through my head.....

  •  Our world is beautiful
  •  My best friend got to share this beauty with me
  •  I want to come back again NEXT year!
  •  This made me so HAPPY

Here's where we drank our Hot Chocolate :)

At the very end of the night, we sat down with our dates and drank some hot chocolate. It was freezing but oh so worth it. Not only that, but as we drank our hot chocolate, I had a pretty darn amazing view to look at. And I'm not just talking  about the lights ;)

Mistletoe ;)

December 13, 2015

Tonight was girls choice for our schools Christmas Dance! Christmas is by far one of my favorite holidays. I LOVE snow. It makes everything so much prettier but this year there was no snow! I was praying that it would snow on Christmas Day.

So I went to go pick up my studly date and when I walked into his door and saw him I was speechless!! I swear every time I spent with this boy, he got cuter every day. He looks like a model haha! And I was ready to go take this boy out and show him off ;)

We went to take pictures and it was really hard for me to get a good picture because I was standing next to such a babe haha. Overall the pictures, I think we probably got 2 serious ones of both of us. Like I've said before, it's so hard to be serious with such a fun guy! I'm constantly joking around with him and I love it!

Usually the dance part isn't my favorite part of the night. But this dance was different ;) This dance we had a mistletoe haha! Alright so what happened is some of my friends told me before the dance, "There's a mistletoe at the Christmas Dance that people bring around." And then they told me that they hang it over every couple at the dance. So when we got to the dance, I was expecting to see a lot of people mistletoe-ing but I didn't even see ONE mistletoe anywhere so I just kept on dancing with my cute date :)

All of a sudden as we're dancing I start to hear cheering and cat calling and all sorts of things coming from a huge group of baseball boys..and there you have it...these boys who were standing right next to us were hanging a mistletoe over our head. I just started laughing and then the thought came across me in that moment.."Um is he going to kiss me?? Or is he too embarrassed?" Well he didn't wait much longer until he kissed me under the mistletoe. All of his baseball friends were cheering him on and he thought it was the funniest thing ever haha. He was smiling so big after and so was I. I was so proud to have such a handsome funny guy with me there that night. And not only that, but this handsome boy is all mine and I was one proud girl showing him off :)

Clearly....He had a good time hahaha

This dance was a lot of fun and I'm so glad I got to take such a stud! I got my very first mistletoe tonight ;) haha I've always wanted to mistletoe because in every single Christmas Hallmark movie they have someone kissing under the mistletoe hahaha. After the dance we went back to a girls house and watched a movie and had some treats. After tonight, it was sort of starting to feel like Christmas. I'm so ready for Christmas to come!! And I'm even more excited that I have such a cute boy to spend the holiday with :)

ZOO Lights :)

December 12, 2014

I've lived in Utah my whole life and not once had I been to see the Christmas lights at the zoo. This was one of my favorite Christmas dates ever :) I'm so happy this cute boy took me for my first time! If you haven't been to see the Zoo Lights, then you need to go next year!

Tonight was so funny! On our way over one of Nate's friends (who was driving) picked up another girl in Bountiful and then started driving towards the zoo, only he took a wrong exit so he was headed the wrong way. Even though I had never been to see the Christmas lights there, I still have gone plenty of other times to the zoo to see the animals haha. I told his friend that he took the wrong exit but he didn't believe me. He said he knew exactly where he was going haha. No one seemed to believe me. I was so anxious to get to the zoo. So I just decided to let the boys figure out how to get there.

Eventually they figured it out and we FINALLY made it to the zoo! Haha it took a lot longer than it should have. But we made it and that's all that matters.

This year we haven't gotten hardly any snow! It was cold outside but not cold enough. It felt like Christmas in November.

We took this picture right after we attempted to see the monkey's. Haha I love monkey's so much but all of them were in the dark room asleep.

Gorgoza Sledding!!

December 6th, 2014

Tonight was the funnest dates that I have ever done! It was girls choice for the Christmas Dance and of course, I had to snag this guy :) Us girls decided to go sledding up at Gorgoza in Park City. If you've never gone you NEED to go. It was so much fun!

A couple of weeks before we went on our day activity, Nate got a concussion while playing soccer. As soon as he knew that he had a concussion, there was NO way I was letting him go sledding down a mountain! Sure enough, Nate didn't care. He packed up his helmet and went anyways. Nate is not the type of guy who will miss out on any fun ever. Even if he does have a concussion. But of course the whole time I was freaking out!!! The last thing I wanted was for Nate's concussion to get worse! I felt awful when everyone asked why he was wearing a helmet hahaha but it was all his choice. I thought I did a good job on forcing him to not come but obviously I didn't.

On my way over to pick up Nate, I picked up Bridger's date, Chezney. We were so excited to go sledding!! I was so close to Nate's house when BAM all of a sudden cop lights turn on behind me. Oh my gosh. This was not happening. Not right now. I was already running late so I turned to Chezney and said, "OH MY GOSH WHAT DID I DO WRONG?" Hahaha I didn't even know why I got pulled over. Long story short I was going 40 miles in a 25!! The cop definitely gave me a ticket and it was expensive. Chezney texted Bridger and told him why we were running late. Ugh this was the worst feeling ever. I was so bummed but I didn't want it to ruin my night.

I got to Nate's house and his whole entire family was outside waiting for me to pull up. Right as I got out of the car everyone walked over to me and gave me a hug. Hahaha how embarrassing. I bet they even saw the cop pull me over, that's how close I was to his house! I was in tears and after Nate gave me a big hug and that's when I wasn't going to let it ruin my night.

Sledding was the bomb! We all got bundled up in our snow gear and headed for the mountain. The best part about Gorgoza Park is you don't even have to walk your sled up the hill ;) they have a thing that pulls you up on your tube! Haha I loved it! This was my type of sledding. We hooked about 8 people to our tubes and all went down the hill. I wish I would have gotten more pictures but I was too busy worrying about Nate and his concussion. He kept telling me the whole night that his head hurt and I could tell that he was so sick. I tried to tell him that we could just sit out for a little bit but that didn't stop him from sledding! I felt like the worst girlfriend ever haha.

After we went sledding we stopped at Brook Walkers house for a movie. We watched Elf and that's my all time favorite Christmas movie (that and the Grinch). It was super noisy so the whole night we didn't even watch it. We sat on the couch talking and taking silly pictures, people watched (because that's one of our favorite things to do haha) and Nate even let me do his hair in a little pony tail ;)

EVERYONE go to Gorgoza sledding I promise it will be worth it. Just don't go with a concussion and you'll be good :)

The Weirdness Comes Out

November 21, 2014

Farmington Station!!

Nate and I went to Farmington station to go watch the fountain show! Nothing fancy but I loved every second of it, only because I got to spend every second of the night with Nate. When we got there, it was freeeezing cold. I had gloves and my huge coat on. Nate had his HUGE coat on and anytime I would hug him, I felt like I was hugging a giant marshmallow hahaha. We have been dating for about 2 1/2 months now and I have loved every second of it! :) He makes me laugh harder than anyone else I know and we have so much in common. The whole night as we sat there watching the fountain show, we talked and laughed at the silliest stuff. I have never been able to laugh like this with anyone else. We have already had so many fun adventures and this is only the beginning!!

This is one of my favorite pictures of tonight. I look a little weird yeah but when I look at Nate I am so amazed. How on earth did I get so lucky?? I was slowing starting to fall in love with this cute boy and that's what made me so scared. After looking back at this picture and remembering him holding me there, I knew I was falling HARD for him.

I remember right before we took this picture, Nate opened up his mouth and made the weirdest noise I have ever heard!!! Hahaha I was dying. After this moment I knew that we would be dating for a long time. How could I let go of this guy? He was everything that I was looking for in a guy. Tall, handsome (really handsome) funny and weird.

This picture describes us in a nutshell. I have DREAMED my whole life that I would find someone that I could be my total self with and when I mean my total self, I mean my weird self. It's was one of the best feelings I have ever had! I was slowly starting to get comfortable with him but I was also still scared to make the first move ;)

Our whole night consisted of being weird together, not only that.. as we sat on this bench we did a lot of people watching. Haha people watching is one of my favorite things to do. This was a fun night that i'll always remember. And this was one of the very first times that I actually saw Nate's weird side and he saw mine.

The Great Gatsby

After having the time of my life at Homecoming with Nate, I had to ask him to the Halloween Dance. He is a really special guy that I didn't want to lose. We had so much fun together and I wasn't going to let any other girl take him to this dance. We had gotten closer within the last month and I was excited to see where things were going with us.

Here's how Nate answered me back to the dance. He had me count the eyeballs and if there was 100 his answer was yes! So I counted through the eyeballs. The first time I counted I got 99. Ugh I sucked at counting. So I counted again. Crap, the second time I got 98. What?? So the third time I had my family help me count haha! After everyone had counted there were only 99 eyeballs. This had to be a joke right? It totally was. Knowing Nate, he was just teasing me. After waiting a little while I actually started to get nervous. My brother started laughing super hard and said, "Haha he said no!!"

Finally there was another knock on my    door and when I opened the front door the 100th eye ball was there!! "No need to fear, the rest of your answer is here! Yes!!! -Nate"
I was so relieved, haha he said YES!

Here's a picture of us after a haunted house we went through for our day activity. It was so scary!! I've been through a couple of haunted houses and this was by FAR the scariest one I've ever been through. It even made Nate jump a lot. I hate scary things but going through it with Nate made everything better.

This dance was one of my favorites. It was so chill. For our costumes we dressed up really nice and had a Gatsby theme. Nate looked so amazing (once again) his hair was slicked so nicely and he pulled off the theme really well. He even had a cane with him which made the costume 10 times better haha! Our group was a ton of fun. Everyone looked so nice. We had a Gatsby theme dinner and even watched The Great Gatsby after the dance was over.

HOMECOMING

FINALLY homecoming is here!!! My heart was pounding as I was getting ready for Nate to come and get me. I was beyond scared. I don't think I had ever been this scared before. My stomach hurt and my heart never stopped pounding. Especially when he knocked on my door.

Nate looked so amazing! Holy if I could go back in time to when he picked me up I would. His suit looked so good on him and I swear he couldn't have gotten any more perfect. His cologne he was wearing smelled so good and he had this little smirk the whole time I was trying to pin the rose on his vest. Ugh..haha I've always been awful at that. But he seriously walked through my door and was the man of my dreams. A very tall handsome well dressed boy. His eyes were so beautiful and he has the longest eyelashes o have ever seen. I was speechless.

The very first thing he said when he walked in was, "you look so good" and once again my heart started thumping so fast!

I could tell he was nervous as my whole family was sitting on the couch watching us get ready for our dance. This was one of the single best moments of my entire life. I wasn't even that close to Nate at the time, but for some reason it just felt nice and right. I had felt like we had been friends before. I was so pumped to get on the dance floor and hang out with him all night!

We went out to dinner and I was once again nervous. Once everyone had ordered it was SO hard to keep a conversation with Nate. He was being so shy at dinner and I had no idea what to do. I kept thinking that maybe I said something weird or maybe he just wasn't having a good time? It was stressing me out.

Funny story...later down the road Nate told me that the reason he didn't talk very much at dinner was because he had a cold and really needed to cough. Haha He didn't want to cough because then I would have known that he was sick and then in his words I "wouldn't have kissed him" haha

The dance itself was alright, I'm not a really good dancer and Nate totally knows that too. I am one of the most awkward dancers you will EVER find. It's never been a strong talent of mine. Even though the dance was just your average High School dance, the outdoor movie after the dance definitely made this night ROCK.

We went over to a kids house and watched the old Poltergeist outside on his projector. I was laying next to Nate hoping he would pull a move and hold my hand or cuddle with me. Even though it took forever for him to pull a move, he was really smooth about it when he did. He went inside and got us more pillows and once we were laying down again he hurried and put his arm around me.
WOW. I was in shock. His cologne smelled so good and cuddling with him was one of the happiest parts of my life. I felt like the luckiest girl alive.

DOORSTEP SCENE: Yikes, this one is always weird. I knew I wanted to kiss Nate and everyone kept telling me that Nate wanted to kiss me too.
So he walks me up to my door and gives me a hug. I say, "I had a really fun night! Thanks so much Nate!" and I don't even know what happened but he looked at me and said "goodnight" so I instantly looked down because I was so nervous! After our hug he walks away... and doesn't kiss me.

I'm not gonna lie, I was really sad. I wanted him to kiss me. I sat on my couch looking out through my blinds wishing he had kissed me. When I looked through my blinds I saw his car lights and wondered why his car was parked in front of my driveway STILL. In my head I was hoping so badly that he would come back and kiss me.
Suddenly I get this text on my phone saying, "wait come back out" AHHHH he is going to kiss me!! I literally hopped off of the couch and started running outside. He jumped out of his car and met me up in my driveway. His words exactly: "I'm sorry, once I got in my car I regretted not kissing you."  WOW. This was something that should happen in a movie. I was so happy he came back! Our first kiss was magical. It wasn't awkward or weird in any way. It felt like I had kissed him before.

I mean it when I say it, this night was perfect.

My 8th grade crush

On August 22, 2015,  I went out to dinner with my family and one of my close friends. While we were at dinner, my friend kept telling me over and over again, "Everyone is starting to get asked to Homecoming." UGH already? I felt like it was too early. So I'm sitting here thinking to myself, "I really don't have any close guy friends who would ask me?"  I told myself  that I probably wasn't going to get asked. And I was fine with that. I had gone to other dances my High School experience and since I wasn't close to anyone, I was fine not going at all.

While we were sitting at dinner my friend mentioned that she knew someone who wanted to ask me. She made me try and guess and I never did because I seriously couldn't think of anyone!

When I went home that night and found this poster on my doorstep, I got SUPER excited!!
"You've caught my attention, lets have a ball at Homecoming?!?"
And on that ball in that cute pink mitt was Nate Schwemmers name!!

Okay here's the story about Nate. He moved here during 8th grade and he sat a couple seats away from me when we had English class together. Everyone was talking about that one cute new kid. Who is he? Where was he from?? Junior High girls wanted to know every single detail. And right when I saw this cute tall boy in my English class, I couldn't stop staring at him. Haha I instantly started crushing on him.

I told one of my really close friends (Maggie)

"There's this new kid in my English class. You HAVE to see him. He is so cute."

I never actually spoke any words to him but I definitely knew who he was. I had always wanted to talk to him in English class but I wasn't ever good at talking to boys when I was in Junior High.

So you could say that when he asked me to Homecoming, I was FREAKING OUT! My 8th grade crush that I had never even talked to asked me to our senior homecoming?? I had a million of things running through my head.

We've never talked..

I've had a crush on this kid.

He knows me? Haha

Why did he ask me??

Holy crap, I didn't even care, I was so excited!! It didn't feel real.

The Day Activity was awesome! We went up to a condo in park city and played volleyball and then went swimming/hot tubbing. Everyone in the group was so easy to get a long with. And still to this day, I am so happy because some of my closet friends now were some of the people in that group.
